St Johns Emergency Services

We were very fortunate today to have Nicoli come talk to us about the Ambulance, Fire Service and Police Emergency Services.

We used our Police Hands, our Ambulance Hands or Police Salutes to answer Emergency Services questions.

Next we learnt about our addresses or where we live.  Then we learnt to make emergency 111 calls on the telephone.

Get NZ Writing

We were really lucky today to receive our package from Room 14, Koraunui School, Stokes Valley.

It was wonderful to compare our own metaphors to our buddy school.  We had fun reading and comparing.

If you want to know anything about metaphors come see us in R16.

Y3/4 Swimming Carnival 2018

The day was warm but not too sunny and a good time was had by all.

Our classes were very well behaved considering they had to be seated the whole way through unless they were swimming.  Well done Ys 3/4!!!!

For our swimmers I love that you all gave things a go and were supportive of one another!

The following are photos that were taken throughout the carnival.

Project Jonah Wednesday 21 March 2018

This morning we had some people from Project Jonah come and talk to us.  They brought PJ a rubber whale to show us - especially how big they can be wow!!

Did you know there are 88 different types of the whales and dolphins in the world?

They are warm blooded and breathe air like us.

Thank you so much for your gold coin donation I am sure Project Jonah will use the donations to help our whales and dolphins.
